The Ministry of ecology and natural resources of Ukraine published the revised draft of the Concept of the national waste management program

On December 21, 2011 the Ministry of ecology and natural resources of Ukraine published on its web-site in the section “Draft regulations” published the revised draft of the Concept of the National Program of waste management considering proposals and comments from central and local authorities, public and scientific organizations, enterprises and institutions.

The Ministry of ecology and natural resources of Ukraine published the Instruction for the total inventory of obsolete and prohibited pesticides and agrochemicals in Ukraine, developed by the experts of the National Centre for Hazardous Waste Management State Enterprise (NCHWM SE) and UNENGO “MAMA-86” in the framework of the international partnership project “Elimination of acute risks of obsolete pesticides in Ukraine.”

On November 29, 2011, the side event of WG3 “Assessment of environmental performance in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine according priorities of EaP Flagship initiative on Good Environmental Governance” took place.

У 1990 році молоді мами з університетською освітою, стурбовані впливом наслідків Чорнобильської катастрофи на здоров’я, об’єдналися, щоб захистити інтереси власних дітей. З 1991 року ми — Київська міська громадська організація «МАМА-86-Київ». А з 2001 року «МАМА-86» зареєстрована у статусі всеукраїнської. Зараз до складу організації входять 17 самостійних об’єднань у різних регіонах України з центральним офісом у Києві. На сьогоднішній день активно діють регіональні осередки «МАМА-86» у Артемівську, Києві, Київській області, Миколаєві, Ніжині, Новій Каховці, Одесі, Полтаві, Севастополі, Феодосії, Харкові та Яремче.

Метою діяльності ВЕГО «МАМА-86» є екологізація політики та практики в Україні для переходу до сталого розвитку — тобто такого, що не шкодить сьогоднішнім поколінням і залишає дітям у спадок світ, в якому можна безпечно існувати.

Місія нашої організації — укріплення ролі жінок-матерів у просвіті суспільства та в процесі прийняття урядових рішень для покращення стандартів життя громадян.

Ми переконані, що жінка є природним захисником майбутнього — дітей, нації, світу. Тому члени нашої організації, здебільшого, жінки — громадські лідери, фахівці у різних галузях, що стосуються основних напрямків діяльності організації: екологи, біологи, хіміки, економісти, архітектори, педагоги, лікарі.

Організація сприяє демократизації українського суспільства та прозорому здійсненню екологічної політики, що враховує думку громадськості та зацікавлених сторін. «МАМА-86» здійснює тематичні дослідження та широко розповсюджує їхні результати, проводить кампанії громадського діалогу та лобіювання для інтеграції екологічних вимог до політик економічного розвитку, а також реалізує пілотні інженерні рішення для ілюстрування переваг прогресивних змін, що лобіюються.

2001 року Екологічна організація «МАМА-86» зареєстрована у статусі всеукраїнської. Сьогодні ми – об’єднання 17 організацій у різних куточках України з центральним офісом у м. Києві.


Moral principles Code of UNENGO “MAMA-86” member

Approved by General Meeting of UNENGO “MAMA-86” members, January 22, 2005

I am a patriot. I want my country is flourishing more every year. But I crave for environmentally balanced development.
    1. I am not indifferent. If organization has any problems, I do not pretend that it is not my business, and I try to help to solve these problems.
    2. I have a patience to help less skilled colleagues and I have a desire to study from more skilled ones. I do not distinguish my colleagues according their sex, nationality, level of education and experience, social status.
    3. Common spirit and ideals unite us in the organization. Everybody among us strives against injustice in her/his life. We are gathered into one organization to support each other in this eternal fight.
    4. I am honest in my relations with colleagues and respect them. So when my opinion does not coincide with others I will defend it in open manner to make my organization stronger and more attractive for benefit of Ukraine.
    5. My activities are guided by interests of cause instead of personal ambitions. That is why I am an owner of my word. If I say “I will do something” I do it.
    6. I believe into public role of a woman and mother in nature protection and improving of a well-being.  That is why I do my best to help women in consciousness of this role and executing  it for blessing Ukraine.
    7. First of all I work for people and their future, one more motivation is a success of my organization and my own welfare depends on these both pillars.
    8. As more I know as less I know. I want to be professional in my area of activity that is why I use all possibilities for studying in the frame of organization activities and I share these possibilities with my colleagues.
    9. I am result-oriented, that is why I make my own contribution into organizing the optimal process in order to get this result. I am sure that there are no unachievable aims if they are consecrated by kindness and belief.
    10. I am convinced with a great role on independent NGOs for environmental democracy formation in Ukraine I believe that MAMA-86 serves as a model of production and spreading independent position in environment protection and democracy issues. I am ready to put my best efforts that this high principle of activities of my organization to be preserved, developed and recognized by Ukrainian society.
